We started teaching AI and Data Science back in 2013, long before the world caught on. Because we believed everyone deserves access to it.
Who We Are
Back in 2013, "Data Science" was barely a term and "AI" belonged mostly to research papers. Five friends who worked in the field looked around and saw a gap: people who genuinely wanted to learn simply had nowhere to go that was welcoming, free, and practical.
So we started the School of Statistical Computing and Research (SSCR). No institution. No funding. Just a shared belief that what we had learned was worth passing on, especially to those who could not find their way into formal education.
Over the years our curriculum has grown through listening to students, staying close to industry, and constantly asking ourselves: what does someone really need to build a meaningful career in data and AI?
We started SSCR to give, not to gain. That intention lives in every session we run.

Our Journey
It started with five people, a shared passion, and no grand plan. What grew from that is a community that has quietly changed the course of countless careers across India.

Our Commitment
We have never thought about this as a transaction. Not even once. SSCR exists because we believe AI and Data Science should be within reach of every person who wants to learn, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds who simply cannot afford formal technology education. We think of the young person in a small town who has no mentor, no network, and no way into the system. That person is who we are here for. Sharing knowledge with them is not something we offer as a service. It is a responsibility we feel in our bones.
